  • Abstract
The transmission of different radar waveforms within the set of pulses constituting a coherent processing interval (CPI), otherwise known as pulse-agile radar, has several potential applications. However, with regard to interference cancellation a problem arises due to the modulation of clutter as a result of the different range sidelobe structure for the different waveforms. Recently, a joint Least-Squares (JLS) mismatch filter design was proposed to partially alleviate this clutter modulation effect. In this paper, JLS receive filtering is used in conjunction with Marginal Fisher´s Information (MFI) waveform design to optimize both the waveforms and filters within the pulse-agile radar paradigm.
