Abstract
A through-wall imaging problem for a 2-D geometry is considered. A new method for through the wall detection and tracking of hidden targets (e.g. human bodies in rescue missions) in two-dimensional scenes, by using radio frequency signals, is presented. In particular, a new approach is proposed and discussed, mainly based on a multisensor system and an advanced imaging technique, which properly exploits a regularized linear inversion scheme. Numerical and experimental tests were conducted to assess the performance and capabilities of the proposed approach.
