Abstract
A new high gain microstrip grid array antenna for 60-GHz wireless personal area network application, is designed using electromagnetics full-wave simulations. An amplitude tapering technique on some radiating elements is used to obtain peak gain flatness in the frequency band. The simulation results indicate that the grid array antenna has an impedance bandwidth (|S11|<;-10dB) nearly from 57GHz to 66GHz and maximum gain of about 14dBi at 60GHz.
