Abstract :
In order to evaluate the quality of the electronic journals published on the Internet, this paper proposes a multi-attribute group decision approach. According to the respective characteristics of the different attributes, the appropriate linguistic evaluation sets are designed for assessing the journals. The basic linguistic evaluation set is set up, based on which various linguistic evaluation terms from different sets are all uniformed into the fuzzy sets over it. Thus, various linguistic evaluation terms from different sets are all comparable. Based on the ordered weighted average operator, the experts´ preference information is aggregated into group opinion and further integrated across the attributes for calculating the overall values of the electronic journals. Then, the rankings of the electronic journals can be obtained. Finally, an example is used for illustrating the proposed approach.
