Abstract
It has been over four years since the Iowa Rural Electric Cooperatives (RECs) jointly purchased a power disturbance monitor, to help its membership resolve electronic equipment problems. The power disturbance monitor that best fit the Cooperatives´ needs was a BMI 4800 Power Scope. At $10000, the device has proven to be reliable and user-friendly and has filled the Cooperatives´ needs adequately. The author provides nine case histories concerning power disturbance problems and their solutions
