Abstract :
A methodology is proposed to build a run-time image for an instrumentation system with Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7) operating system. The proposed system can determine the concentration of target analyte within a few seconds, which can be used in a wide range of applications. This paper also presents a new image analysis algorithm to perform the unsupervised classification for the immunochromatographic assay with high-definition webcam. The overall development scheme to complete an instrumentation system is explained with real examples. The proposed methodology makes it easier to get our system with up-to-date peripherals to market. That is crucial for short life-cycle peripherals on market. The proposed methodology is applied to design a medical instrumentation system, and the Tablet is employed as a demonstrating example. The proposed methodology suits any WES7 compatible system as well. The overall system functions are verified by experimental results.
