Abstract :
In this research a neural network is used to estimate the rotor resistance of an induction motor. A set of tools developed by Texas Instruments is used along with customized blocks such as an ANN block in order to put into operation a sensorless suitable adjustable speed drive for motion control applications. The results are discussed to verify the rotor resistance estimation by an ANN. Values for current, stator resistance and speed are transmitted serially to the computer that monitors such variables.
