Abstract :
The supply chain is widely implemented in various business types. It was proven to enhance the benefits in applying. However, most of the firms have not reached the magnitude of improvements or the desired results. This research studied the relationship between the firm infrastructures to the supply chain activities or practices. The infrastructures involved the hardware, software and operational infrastructures. The hardware infrastructure addresses the tools and spaces. The software infrastructure addresses the MRP, ERP, SCM and Internet. The operational infrastructures involved the skill, training and management commitments. The objective of this empirical study is to find the aligning methodology of above infrastructures supported the supply chain activities. Managers from 106 organizations completed a questionnaire. The data analysis is performed using structural equation modeling-EQS, adapting from basis research. The results indicated that the hardware, software and operational infrastructures alignment enhances the business performance.
