Abstract :
In our study, models of our electret-based cell actuator in various shapes and sizes were established using finite element analysis (FEA) to study the resonance and vibration mode of the electret cell actuators. The first resonance frequency and mode shape of the electret cell diaphragm were obtained using an advanced vibrometer/interferometer device (AVID™) and an electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI), respectively, to verify the models of the electret-based cell actuators. Both the simulation and experiment results were found to be in close agreement.
