Abstract
Polymer materials are finding increasing application as outdoor insulators. It has been found that precipitation contains a large variety of ions in solution and is becoming more acidic on a global scale. This study was performed to investigate the influence of precipitation on the physical and dielectric properties of polymer materials. Since many applications involve transformers, tests were also performed to determine the influence of transformer oil on the aging process
