Abstract
The author explains how disruptive technologies can lead to the failure of large, successful companies. He then describes how large companies can instill an entrepreneurial attitude inside their existing firms (known as intrapreneurship) to combat these disruptive technologies. This entrepreneurial attitude inside a firm is important if existing firms are to continue to develop new and innovative products. The paper reviews both good and bad examples of intrapreneurship and what technology companies should do to become successful intrapreneurs and successfully deal with disruptive technologies.
