Abstract
In this paper, a novel dual polarization wideband basestation antenna is proposed. This kind of antenna is suitable for the second generation and third generation mobile communication system and fed by the probes. The antenna structure has three layers, the first layer and the second layer are radiation parts, the lowest layer is feed network. There is a new method to improve isolation by using slot and another method to expand impedance bandwidth by using Wilkinson feed network. The antenna operates frequency from 1.75GHz to 2.17GHz, VSWR≤1.5 (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) in port1 and port2 (two ports bandwidth can realize 21.4 % ), the isolation between port1 and port2 is less than -18dB. The last, this antenna is manufactured and measured. The measured results accord with the simulated results.
