Abstract
A complete 40 Gb/s front-end chip set for optical transmission systems will be presented The analog chip set includes modulator drivers on the transmitter site, and transimpedance amplifier, limiting amplifier and automatic-gain-controlled (AGQ amplifier) on the receiver site. All circuits were designed, fabricated in SHBT technologies and successfully tested above 40 Gb/s at first run.
