Abstract :
One-side metallized negatively-corona-charged UV-irradiated Teflon FEP films show changes in their TSD (thermally stimulated discharge) curves as compared with those of nonirradiated samples. They are practically discharged after the first TSD process, indicating that UV (ultraviolet) irradiation makes the contact able to inject positive charge. Heat pulse records confirm positive injection from a UV-irradiation contact. UV-irradiated positively charged films have a residual potential larger than the unirradiated one and also show peak shifts in their TSD thermograms. Results are shown for different metallic contacts
