Abstract :
This paper describes an 8~20 GHz wideband, low spurs and low phase frequency synthesizer module with 10 MHz step size, based on PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) and direct analog synthesizer technology. The module consists of five parts: the frequency multiplier, PLL1, PLL2, and two switch of filter bank. The experimental measurement of the actual module shows that the spurious are less than -55 dBc and the phase noise is about -90 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset. In addition, the output power level flatness is 13.5 dBm±3.5 dBm.
