Abstract
The authors report the use of the pressure wave propagation (PWP) method to investigate the electrical properties of EPDM (ethylene-propylene copolymer) filled with different percentages of alumina. First the authors determine the velocity, attenuation, and dispersion of the pressure wave pulse for varying percentages of the filler. Then they discuss the charge injection process, from which it is concluded that charge injection is stronger when the content of alumina filler is increased
