Abstract
Perpendicular polarized spectroscopy of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) during corona poling was performed. The in-situ tracing infrared technique was used in the study. While the poling voltage applied to the film was changing, the dipole orientation of β-form PVDF displayed a hysteresis loop; after treatment its figure was similar to the PVDF D-E hysteresis. It is suggested that the b-axis 60° step rotation is due to the existence of a potential barrier between 0° and 60°
