Abstract :
Reports on a study using two measures to assess the change in perception during a group decision support system (GDSS) session, namely change in understanding and coorientation. The group members underwent the GDSS session in either one of three treatments: (1) no facilitator support; (2) task facilitator support; or (3) task with interactional facilitator support. The results demonstrate evidence for the adoption of facilitator intervention in GDSS groups to affect the group members´ perceptions of others´ viewpoints
