Abstract

The study design and data processing of scientific research in medicine is a complex matter. This also applies to the authors´ department. Applications of advanced computer technologies may alleviate the efforts of medical researchers in these processes. The authors describe in detail the database design used by physicians in URIS (see W. d´Hollosy et al., “URIS-A Universal Information System”, Proc. IEEE-EMBS, vol. 14, p. 858-9, 1992). This system has improved data management in the authors´ department
