Abstract
The authors review the design and installation of a new power distribution system at Temple-Inland´s Evadale paper mill. The system was designed so that each of the five 15 kV buses could be electrically isolated during the mill´s scheduled unit shutdown, thereby allowing for servicing of the switchgear as well as the associated process areas. The switchgear was installed while the mill was in operation without loss of scheduled production.<>
