Abstract :
A new control method for a class of cascade systems is proposed. It is based on the active disturbance rejection control technique and backstepping approach. The high-order cascade system is changed into a system consisting of a few low-order virtual cascade control systems. The disturbances and the plant variations can be estimated and compensated in each control loop. Hence the entire system has strong robustness and ability of disturbance rejection
