Abstract

This paper present a design of Smart Gateway System to support online discussion between teachers in the teacher learning community. The online discussion is very crucial in the first stage of Lesson Study where the teachers will work collaboratively to develop teaching and learning design through the use of information and communication technology (ICT). Smart Gateway System is needed to facilitate the online discussion between teachers who have Internet connectivity and other teachers who do not have Internet connectivity by using short messaging system (SMS) through cellular network.
