  • Abstract
We describe the proactive probing and probing on demand algorithms that are used to monitor the health of a serviceable component system proactively and to localize faulty components intelligently. This application-level performance monitoring mechanism can greatly reduce the overhead of satisfying service-level objectives. When abnormal events occur, we are able to follow relevant dependent paths to localize possible faulty serviceable components based on the outcomes of incremental on demand probing. In this paper, we continue analyzing the impact of the algorithms in the process of probing and diagnosis
