Abstract :
In this paper, a new outer loop power control algorithm based on fuzzy theory is proposed. The value corresponding with the difference of BLER and BLERtar, processed by fuzzy membership function, is dealt with fuzzy theory principle to calculate the adjustment step-size of SIRtar for the inner loop power control. The algorithm with the feature of simple operation and fast control can obtain optimal step-size of SIRtar to overcome the robust phenomenon of traditional algorithms to a large extent. Experimental results certify that the proposed algorithm has excellent control capacity to adjust SIRtar to a suitable level and keep BLER changing in a more ideal range to ensure QoS of wireless communication system. As a result, it can be well applied in communication to improve the system performance.
