Abstract
The study of the loop gain frequency response is a powerful tool that may be adequately used as a design method for current controllers in PWM power converters. The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology to obtain the gain limits for the current controller conditioned or subjected to certain desired performance criteria. The tracking performance and transient response of the system are investigated by means of the plant simulation outcomes and a method for determination of controller gains is developed. Experimental results are presented for an H-Bridge PWM power inverter prototype for validation of the proposed method.
