Abstract :
It is proposed to determine the electron energy, by the filter method which consists in determining the cross section of the attenuation of braking radiation in the filter material, i.e., an effective energy of the braking radiation equal to a half of E. The method is distinguished by that measurements are made in the narrow beam geometry. Current density at the target is proposed to be measured by using two detector, the first one being placed in a site where the dimensions of the braking readiation source affect its readings, while the other being positioned so that this effect is absent. The method was verified on the VIRA-1.5M X-ray generator.
