Abstract :
Ultrafine PbTiO3 (PT) powders were dispersed in liquid, polymer matrices to form 0-3 fine composites. Second harmonic generation (SHG) and degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) effects of the composite have been tested at λ=1.06 μm with an electric bias field applied on the sample. it is shown that the SHG efficiency can be modulated with an external bias field. In the nonresonant DFWM process, the liquid suspension of PT nanopowders could produce a larger gain for the conjugative backward reflectivity. These properties may be associated with the coupling effect between nanopowders and the external field
