Abstract :
Ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers using PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) films as active element and epoxy-tungsten composite as backing material were constructed. Simulated and experimentally obtained waveform responses and their power spectra of these transducers were compared. The correspondence of the waveform of the output of the transducers and of the power spectra of the simulation to those of the real transducers was fairly good
