Abstract
This paper presents the results from the application of an optimal control discrete-time algorithm to solve the dynamic user equilibrium problem. The underlying traffic model is a macroscopic second order model, which intrinsically represents queue spillback. Results obtained from the application of the dynamic user assignment for a southern part of the Paris highway network are presented.
