Abstract :
This paper deals with the real-time implementation of an optimized algorithm for the fuzzy control of a fast electrical drive system in the on-line inference variant. The author continues some previous works concerning an appropriate off-line conditioning problem and then the optimization of the defuzzifier, the inference engine and the defuzzifier in terms of the best compromise between the accuracy for positioning and the limited on-line processing capabilities of a standard microcontroller. The on-line optimal management of the target processor resources is analyzed and proved by means of several recordings focused on the real-time tasks
