  • Abstract
With nose erosion and beam diversion combined, a single output of Aurora´s four diode units can produce ionizing radiation pulse risetimes from 10 to 50 ns. The full width half maximum (FWHM) of a single-output can be varied from 15 to 150 ns. Recent modifications that reduced the jitter between the four separate diodes have made possible a mode of operation involving four separate diodes, in which the combined risetime can be varied from about 18 to 80 ns and the FWHM from about 30 to 150 ns. A variable pulse shape should allow a system model to be tested over a large volume of stress parameter space.
