Abstract :
Attention to informatization has increased, as thousands of organizations have adopted information systems. Meanwhile, the adoption of process-focused programs such as ISO9001 and CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) are increasing in the software industry. Due to the technology coherence of SQM and informatization, we consider whether organizations who have adopted SQM successfully will be more effective in progressing informatization, has not reported so far. Through investigating the enterprises in the Pearl River Delta, this study analyzes the effect of SQM on a company´s productivity, product quality, customer satisfaction, volume of business to prove that SQM is beneficial to most companies, and explores whether the adoption of SQM will affect the efficiency and workload resulted from informatization. Finally, it proposes that SQM should be a potential way to improve the effectiveness of informatization.
