Abstract :
As software engineering began to develop as a science, there evolved clearly defined roles which members of the software engineering team assumed. Traditionally, these roles have been assigned to students in software engineering project courses as they work on real world or simulated projects. Currently there is an international trend emphasizing reuse technology. This trend, which affects the software engineering team composition as well as their responsibilities, is rapidly becoming the norm in software engineering. Issues concerning the changes in the software engineering project team need to be addressed in software engineering project courses to ensure that students are adequately prepared for applying current trends when they begin working in the field. These issues include the determination and definition of the role of the reuse engineer in the software engineering project courses
