Abstract
The complex propagation constant of doubly periodic cylindrical FSSs has been calculated. An analysis outline is given based on two dimensional Floquet harmonics in cylindrical co-ordinates. These structures support guided waves at resonance. Longitudinal thin dipoles have higher attenuation. Increasing the periodicity lowers the frequency of guidance
