Abstract :
The wide acceptance of the IEC61850 standard had been raised it to the focusing research interesting area both from the academic and industry sides. This paper describes the methodology and enhancement that can be achieved by implementing the Vendor-Natural configuration tool (based on the IEC61850 extending standardizing concept include the protection and setting level) within a communicative and cooperative environment (multi-vendor Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED)s, Electrical nods) in which that can be combined together emerging to smart grid (SG). The Vendor-Natural configuration tool provides a simple cost-effective solution for multi-vendor (IEDs, nodes) integration. Several benefits can be achieved based on providing simple seamless communication between the multi-vendor (IEDs, nodes), overcoming of the lack and the limitation of the vendors´ proprietary (IED, System) configuration tools and also relax the automation system (AS) configuration tasks.
