Abstract :
In this paper, we use the Precision Time synchronization daemon (PTPd) to find the threshold of Precision Time synchronization. The unit of the clock servo is usually implemented by the proportional integral (PI) controller. In order to improve the performance of the PI controller, this paper uses PTPd in free-running mode to find the threshold of the precision time synchronization. We use the threshold to shorten the transient time of precision time synchronization. Experimental results show that the performance of the threshold PI controller is better than that of the traditional one in the transient time.
