  • Abstract
A novel full-resolution NTSC LCD (liquid crystal display) front-projector has been developed. A novel light collection system leads to a uniformly illuminated and bright picture. A newly developed lamp supply enables quick lamp run-up and restart. High-quality flicker-free images are obtained by introducing gamma-correction and line-doubled scanning. The mechanical system assures an accurate and stable position of the optical components, keeping them dust-free and protecting them against damage by vibration or shocks.<>
