Abstract
Enterprise is the center actor as ecosystem in the innovation activities to a nation and society. Most nowadays research papers or publications have focused on a specific topic of innovation management, such as on the technology, product, process, and/or business model; it leads to having only a few pieces of puzzle but lack of a system view and thinking to get a whole picture for us to justify the complex resources allocation. In addition, there are very limited practical studies in systems solution framework or platform that can be served as an innovation value measurement tool for decision-maker either in the planning stage or the every stage of the life cycle of new project development. This research has studied the innovation definition, theories and models, addressed the importance of system thinking and process for executing innovation, applied the systems engineering process and enterprise systems engineering methodology, in conjunction with five key modules of innovation performance measurement indices and developed an integrated innovation value diagnosis system platform to propose and construct an Innovation Value Diagnosis System (IVDS) model. The present study intends to demonstrate that the IVDS model can be a valuable tool on innovation management for decision makers on their new project development.
