Abstract :
This paper proposes four five legs ac/ac converter topologies for supplying three-phase four-wire loads. All topologies use ten power switches (five legs) and a capacitor dc-bus midpoint connection. The converters provide bi-directional power flow and can be used for uninterrupted power supply applications. The overall control strategy for providing the dc-bus voltage, power factor control and PWM signal generation is also presented. Experimental and simulated results are presented
