Abstract :
We consider an optimization problem in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSN). A set of connected sensors that are deployed randomly in a network. The goal of the algorithm is to gather the sensors at a single location. We develop a cellular automaton based algorithm for this point gathering problem and compare the algorithm with an earlier one. Our algorithm performs better than the latter in terms of time and number of movement steps required by a sensor on average.
