Abstract
It is often thought that it is not possible to use a computer for the assessment of work such as essays, paintings, diagrams, prototypes and sculptures, which the teacher must assess. The method of criterion-based assessment, described in this paper, shows how an adaptation of the multiple-choice test can be used to provide a useful tool for assessing.
