Abstract :
We have developed an on-board server with HTTP server capability and servlet implementation and established a standard scheme to distribute information to vehicles using the on-board server. We have also developed communication media switching capability using the Mobile IPv6. All these capabilities are implemented on the Linux operating system. Currently, we are conducting a verification test in metropolitan Tokyo and Nagoya using 2000 vehicles equipped with this on-board server
