Abstract :
The open loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless systems do not have any channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter (Tx). The closed loop systems have full CSI at the Tx. The closed loop systems have simpler receivers (Rx), and observe beamforming gain compared to the open loop systems.
