Abstract :
This paper describes a polarimetric-capable L-band radiometer that has been built for Iowa State University (ISU) by The University of Michigan. It is a ´direct sampling digital radiometer´ (DSDR), in which most of the operations are performed digitally and mixer stages are eliminated. The system is to be used for soil moisture retrieval studies. It could provide supportive data for future L-band missions and is reconfigurable for radio frequency interference (RFI) mitigation purposes
