  • Abstract
This paper presents the first efforts to create a virtual human body able to feel the stimuli that enter in contact with its skin. For the creation of this proposal we considered the results obtained about the sense of touch provided by neuroscience and psychophysics. This proposal consists of a software architecture that recreates the components of the central nervous system involved in the sensation of touch, mainly focusing on the detection of the location of the stimulus. As a result we obtained tools that allow us to distribute tactile receptors in the textures of 3D models and the creation of the somatotopic map of the body.
