Abstract :
Parametric Model Order Reduction has been recognized as one of the outstanding issues in reduced order modeling paradigms. Recent years have seen a spurt in research activity related to this area and a number of problems have opened up. This paper presents a critical review of the strategies for parameter dependency preservation in reduced order models, which have been proposed over the years, and attempts to contextualize the problem in proper physical and numerical perspective. The open problems in the area are also identified, along with a discussion on some potential application areas.
