Abstract
The three phase boost rectifier is gradually emerging to be the choice of approach for improving power quality for high power motor drive applications. Although the topology of the converter, its application and control techniques have been known for decades, a systematic design oriented model has not been established in the literature. This paper presents the development of a design-oriented model that addresses clearly the choice of reactive elements and control parameters in a coupled fashion. The model is verified using computer simulations and experimental verifications
