Abstract :
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) offers the Am29000 reduced-instruction-set-computer (RISC) microprocessor for use in high-performance microprocessor-based products. The AMD 29 K RISC processors are described. General performance figures are given for the Am29005 low-cost streamlined instruction processor. Descriptions covering features and benefits of higher performance versions of the Am29000 microprocessor are also provided.<>
