Abstract :
In this paper, using Pattern Search Algorithm (PSA), low sidelobe scanned pattern is achieved in phased array antennas. This is the first report on pattern scanning using PSA and satisfying results on low sidelobe scanned patterns are derived. Applying the algorithm to uniform amplitude phase-only 60-element array, sidelobe level of about -18.4 dB is achieved while the main beam is scanned to desired direction.
