Abstract
Software product lines and service-oriented architectures are attracting much theoretical and practical attention. There are various approaches to service-oriented product lines, whereas how to identify services is the most obvious challenge to developing service-oriented product lines. This paper proposes an approach to service identification methods that bridges the feature models of product lines and the business process models in service orientation. The benefits include reuse of software product lines and service-oriented architectures. Identifying services through business process models enables functions to be expressed as services.
